With the ambitious story being the creation of screenwriter John Milius (of Apocalypse Now and Red Dawn fame), players are plunged into 2027 Middle
America, 10 years after the United States suffered an economic collapse. Being reduced to a husk of the superpower that it once was, America had
become a target for a North Korean invasion, with the game thrusting the player into the role of a guerrilla in the US Civilian Resistance, to help
fight to drive the oppressive occupation force from their native lands. Therefore, daily locations, such as malls, suburbs, and streets have become
battlegrounds and strategic points.
