Write for GamerCorner
Do you feel like writing an article for GamerCorner?

We're constantly on the look-out for writing talent to contribute articles to the website. If you have an idea for a feature, or a review to contribute that we haven't already done, and would like to share it with the readers of the website, then get in touch with us.

Here are a few ideas for the kind of feature that you could write:

The Top Ten...
Everybody loves a good top ten list, especially if it's something away from the norm. The quirkier idea the better! This category could be literally about any topic that you choose, you never know what idea you might come up with.

Reviews
At the moment, GamerCorner is a small enterprise, and so we don't have the ability to review every game that appears on the market. Noticed a game is missing a review on our website? Write it yourself, and then we'll post it. Alternatively, you could also review a game from way back when, a "classic" game review, if you will. This is especially useful for the smaller indie games that may not get as much spotlight as they deserve. Please make sure the reviews are long, a minimum of 1800 words, but anything more would be fantastic.

Conditions
Before you submit anything to us, there are a few conditions and guidelines that we need you to stick to:
  • Articles must be written in English, British English preferable, and there is a minimum word count of 800 words.
  • We reserve the right to edit any article submitted to us, but we will try our best to stick to the original. Credit will be given to the original writer in all cases.
  • Once the article is live, it's removal is at the discretion of the editors.
  • Articles must be your own original work. No plagerism.
  • Articles may not be published elsewhere, in whole or in part. It gets messy.
  • Articles must be sent via email to articles@gamercorner.co.uk as an attachment. Any format is accepted, but Word or OpenOffice is preferred.
Please note that, while we will endeavour to use your article, not all contributions can be used.

Tips For Writing
Here are a few tips on how to write a good article:
  • Use the contact form and get in touch with us about your idea. This way, we can help you develop it and get a good angle.
  • As with any subject, stick to what you know, and keep your work original, that way the flow of the article improves dramatically.
  • Respect copyright laws.
  • If you come across any images (that are not bound by copyright laws) that you feel may compliment the article, include them in the email. Not only is it easier for us, but nobody knows the article as well as you.
  • A good resource for finding copyright-free images is the Creative Commons website.
